It is no secret by now that I love love love love love Korean beauty products. I have already uploaded 3 Korean Beauty Hauls which has garnered quite a number of views on my Youtube channel. So assuming that most of my readers are Korean beauty junkies like myself, I hope you guys are excited to know that today, I'll be introducing another shopping site where you will be able to get your hands on more authentic Korean beauty products!
W2Beauty, which stands for Welcome 2 Beauty, is an online shop that caters to Korean beauty lovers. With its HQ directly at Seoul, you can rest in mind that their products are definitely authentic. I love the wide variety of brands they offer and especially all the great promotions they are offering! One thing I take note of when shopping on an overseas website, is the shipping charges as sometimes, the shipping can get way too costly and I would end up cancelling my order. The good thing about W2Beauty is that they offers free shipping worldwide! Which means we can shop at ease, knowing that there won't be any additional charges upon checking out. Whilst I was browsing on their website, I managed to pick out 3 items to create a Dried Rose Make-Up Look on my channel.
One of the main product I featured for my eye make-up was the
Son & Park Urban Flower Kit Eyeshadow.
I chanced upon this eyeshadow and I couldn't help but to fall in love with all the pretty shades included. The shade Dried Rose is still a huge trend in Korea (read my review of the Etude House Eyeshadow Quad in shade Dried Rose!) and this palette definitely includes a good range of mauve rose toned shades. Apart from which, I'm also a huge lover of pink eyeshadows!
It comes in a simple and sleek black plastic packaging with a magnetic closure, and it includes a total of 6 matte eyeshadow shades as well as a double-ended sponge applicator.
The first shade from the left is a cool brown tone which I felt would be perfect for shading and contouring the eyes and nose if you're pretty fair. If you have medium skin tone like I do, this would make a great base to even out any uneven tones on your lids before adding other shades.
The next shade is a light peach shade. Peach is always a hot shade in Korea due to the majority being fair-skinned. The sweet peach shade helps add a touch of sweetness and colour to their skin. As for me, I love using this as a base as it helps even out and lightens my eyelids to make the rest of the eyeshadows pop.
The next shade is my favourite shade, and that is a mauve rose shade. Despite being a pink eyeshadow, it has some warm tones to it which I felt really matches my skintone. It also gives a soft feminine touch to my look instead of being too loud.
Next we've got a light pink shade. Since all 6 shades in this palette are matte, this would be great for a subtle highlight around the tear ducts or even all along the lower lash line to create the Korean signature "aegyo-sal" look.
The last 2 shades are darker matte brown shades which are perfect to use to darken the entire eye look, as an eyeliner, or even as an eyebrow powder.
Overall, the pigmentation and quality of this eyeshadow is fairly good but I wouldn't say that it is similar to the creamy eyeshadows from the higher-end brands like Urban Decay, Lorac Pro and etc. What I love about this eyeshadow is the selection of shades as well as the size of the entire palette. The simple and warm-toned matte shades makes it easy to create any looks from simple, to smokey and since the size of this palette is not too big, it will fit into my make-up pouch with no troubles!
