Chuu New Instagrammable Flagship Store in Myeongdong is a Must Visit if You're In Seoul!

Chuu is a Korean fashion brand that is most well-known for their -5kg jeans. I myself own 8 pairs of denim jeans and shorts from Chuu and although I don't think they actually make me look 5kg slimmer, I must say that I appreciate that they are really good quality and most importantly,  reasonably priced.

Apart from jeans, they also offer a wide variety of other fashion apparels and accessories, even lingerie, pajamas and stationery such as stickers, phone cases, etc! Not too long ago, Chuu also launched their own beauty line, Beige Chuu, which are also available in stores.

Currently, Chuu has two flagship stores in Seoul and each has their own charm. Their first flagship store in Hongdae is pretty cute, and it's worth visiting if you're keen on getting something from Chuu. Since it is located a distance away from Hongik University Station and is 4-storey high, it is spacious and usually quiet, which makes shopping comfortable.

Especially if you want to browse through their entire jeans collection, the basement of the Hongdae flagship store is dedicated entirely to their jeans collection and so you'll surely find the right pair there. When I was at the Hongdae Flagship store, I was pretty much the only customer around (as you can see in the photos) so that should give you a rough gauge of how the "crowd" is like.

Their second and newest flagship store just recently opened its doors in the heart of Myeongdong and it's... Kinda like the second child. It is the complete opposite of the first flagship store and as you can already tell, it will be what this blog post is all about. Before you even enter, the exterior already screams extra as the entire building is in this hot pink shade, it's impossible not to spot it.

Once you enter the flagship store, you will be greeted with a supermarket-themed decor which I thought was so freaking cute and unique! You'd think that there'll be snacks and drinks on the shelves and in the refrigerator, but they're all just fashion apparels, accessories, beauty products, and stationery. There's even a fake cashier at the side of the entrance, just like in convenient stores!

Walking further into the store, the interior slowly sheds the supermarket theme and all of a sudden, it feels like I'm in Tokyo. I've never been to Japan, but there were Japanese words around and for some reasons it just gave off a strong Harajuku vibe. Everything is just so fun and loud with all the neon signage and TWICE blasting through their speakers! Just when you thought that was it, head upstairs and you'll find some really cute photo spots!

Granted, it is much smaller and crowded than the Hongdae flagship store since the public area is only 2-storey high and there's not much clothing items on the second floor. To give you a rough idea on how the crowd was like, I basically had to queue in line for the fitting room and at some point it was even difficult to browse through the racks. But honestly, this flagship store tops all the other flagship stores I've visited in Seoul in terms of the interior design and overall atmosphere. Even if you're not planning to get anything from Chuu, I think it's worth popping in just to snap some cute pictures! (watch the vlog when we visited the Chuu Myeongdong flagship store here!)
